Very tasty and affordable chicken rice, especially the 药膳醉酒煲, the soup has very good scent of herbal wine aroma. Not feeling thirsty at all after eating all the food.

This restaurant is indeed a gem at this suburban area. With the 5-stars food and service, it deserves more recognition. The chicken is very tender and sauce is nice. The must-try dish is the drunken chicken as the soup tastes so nice with various ingredients which made it a sumptuous meal. The bean sprout is fresh and still crunchy when served. The braised tofu is also very soft and impressive. We love the retro atmosphere of the room we were in. The chef was also very friendly and came to greet us during our dining session and kindly told us to feel free to ask for more rice and hor fun if we want to. We had a nice chat with the staff there too. They even offered our kids the chance to feed the fish in their pond too, which my kids enjoyed. Definitely will visit this place again if we are to visit Ipoh again.

One in a lifetime experience here. The food was astounding and the environment / atmosphere was very chill and calm. The staff’s service were a guaranteed 5 star. Even the head chef *worked in Hong Kong before* came to ask us about the food and freely told us that ‘if you want to add anything, just inform us.’ Really an astonishing experience!

I stumbled upon Flying Feather Bean Sprout Chicken and it turned out to be a gem! The chicken was incredibly tender and flavorful, especially with the soy-based sauce. The rice was fragrant, and the soup was comforting and well-seasoned. The braised pork dish was also a highlight — rich, savory, and just melts in your mouth. The decor is charming and nostalgic, with both modern and traditional touches. The prices are very reasonable for the quality you get — such a great value! What made the experience even more special was the little boss (the owner's son) who took our order. He was so polite, confident, and handled everything like a pro. Truly heartwarming service. I’ll definitely come back again! 정말 맛있게 잘 먹다갑니다!

The chicken was incredibly tender, just as the name "Soft-Soft Chicken" promises. The portion was generous, with lots of meat on both the thighs and drumsticks.

This is a hidden gem in Tambun. Came here with 2 elderly and 2 kids and everyone loooooooved the food. Kampong chicken was superb, herbal chicken was amazing, rice was tasty and not oily, homemade meatballs and fishballs were springy, soups were thick and tasty, definitely did not taste of MSG. Ginger sauce was also delish, we kept asking for refills...even the service was top notch! Chef came out to chat with us... gave us his signature salad dish when we visited a second time, and gave fish food for the kids to feed the fish in the pond! The old uncle who served us daily was also super duper genuine, friendly, and even sheltered us to the car when it was raining! Where to find service like this these days???? So 5 stars for the food, and 10 stars for service! We'll be back for sure!

Am surprised at how exceptionally tender and moist their poached Soft-Soft chicken is. Even the chilli sauce and ginger paste are extraordinary. In their own words, the chilli sauce is made from fresh chilli, garlic and lime juice for a spicy, tangy and sour taste that awakens the taste buds. As for the ginger paste, it is meticulously crafted using fresh scallions and Bentong ginger to bring out the flavour of the chicken.

We were craving chicken rice pretty late at night (around 9:30pm) and most of the shops were already closed… except this one. So we decided to give it a try — and we definitely didn’t regret it at all! The food was spot on, just the kind of comforting Ipoh chicken rice we were hoping for. Ambiance was cozy and nostalgic, and the staff (including the chef) were super friendly, even checking in on us to see how the food was. Little touches like that made the whole experience even better. Honestly, everything was great, just one tiny wish to the boss: if you have chicken gizzard, liver, or heart on the menu, we would be a customer for life, never visiting other restaurant (very true, not joking). Because we’re used to eating Ipoh chicken rice with gizzard and liver. Oh yeah, as for the soup, it's nice for me. But my wife wish it was less sour. But memang she is the kind of person who dont really like sour taste. For me, i love huhu All in all, a hidden gem for late-night chicken rice cravings. Highly recommended!
